The Railway Man - Starting at ~8pm tonight (Saturday)

Hot late summer day...nice summer night for a movie!

Tonight's movie is "The Railway Wan" starring Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman.  This is more of an emotional flick with perhaps some conversation starters emoting afterwards.

We'll start at just after 8pm tonight.

Here's the plot synopsis:  Decades after his brutal captivity under the Japanese during World War II, Eric Lomax still has nightmares about the ordeal. But when he unexpectedly meets and falls for Patti, a bizarre coincidence brings his past back into focus.

Hope to see you tonight!

Steve Carell stars in "The Way Way Back" tonight Monday Sept 1st, at about 8:20pm at the Schwarz outdoor theater.

Plot synopsis:  A stifled teen finds his voice with encouragement from the manager of a local water park, where he takes a summer job to escape his unbearable home life with his mom and her overbearing boyfriend.

Rated PG-13 and therefore won't need the ClearPlay. This one got good ratings on Netflix and rottentomatoes!

Hope to see you tonight at 8:20pm!

Sunday Movie - All is Lost ~8:30pm

We're back up and running with outdoor movie night at the Schwarz's.  Tonight's movie is "All is Lost" with Robert Redford.  I'll likely crank up the speakers since there isn't much dialogue in this one.  Should be a fun experience.

Starting time will be around 8:30pm as it's getting darker a bit earlier now.  Usual snacks of candy, popcorn, etc. will be available.

Synopsis:  In this harrowing drama -- which has no dialogue -- Robert Redford portrays a man stranded alone at sea, courageously battling a ferocious storm as he struggles to survive with just a sextant and maritime maps to guide him.
