Sherlock Holmes - Thursday Night Movie

Summer sun is back, and we'll have blankets when it cools off tonight while we watch the Sherlock Holmes movie "A Game of Shadows" with Downey Jr and Jude Law.   We'll get started just after 8:30pm and of course all the goodies will be available once again.

Synopsis:  Robert Downey Jr. returns as the brilliant sleuth and Jude Law is back as Dr. Watson in this atmospheric sequel to 2009's Sherlock Holmes. Holmes resorts to occult theories and more to defeat the plans of his nemesis, the evil Professor Moriarty.

Hugo - Friday night movie

Movie Tonight is "Hugo".  Will start at around 8:40pm.  Blankets will be provided as it'll likely be a little less warm than normal.  Supposed to be a really good movie according to reviews.

Here's the plot:  Set in 1930s Paris, an orphan who lives in the walls of a train station is wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Clearplayed

Late notice tonight!  Showing "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" with Daniel Craig (my new favorite James Bond).  If you've read the books, this is a pretty intense story with the movie showcasing the first of the trilogy.  I'll have the clearplay on to clean it up and make it watchable in the neighborhood.  According to other clearplay users it does a great job and keeps the story intact.

We'll start at 8:45pm tonight.  Sorry for the late notice but come on over anyway!

Plot:  Journalist Mikael Blomkvist is aided in his search for a woman who has been missing for forty years by Lisbeth Salander, a young computer hacker.

Sunday Night - Mission Impossible 4

Tonight's movie showing is the fourth Mission Impossible movie - Ghost Protocol.  Tom Cruise comes back with the story line where the IMF is shut down when it's implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt and his new team to go rogue to clear their organization's name.

We'll start at around 8:40pm tonight.  Chairs, blankets, goodies, sodas, popcorn all provided.  Hope to see you there!

Friday Movie Night - The Girl in the Cafe

Starting at around 8:40pm tonight (Friday), we'll be showing "The Girl in the Cafe".  

This is a story about Lawrence, an aging, lonely civil servant who falls for Gina, an enigmatic young woman. When he takes her to the G8 Summit in Reykjavik, however, their bond is tested by Lawrence's professional obligations.  

Should be another warm night for an outdoor viewing!  See you tonight if you can make it.

Thursday's Movie - "War Horse"

Tonight should be an extremely warm and comfortable night to watch a movie outdoors, so we've selected "War Horse" by Steven Spielberg for our entertainment tonight.  We'll start at around 8:45pm tonight (Thursday) and have all the normal goodies available for all that want to join.  And for you folks worried about mosquitos, it hasn't been too bad at our place and we've got those special candles that seem to keep them away. 

2012 Movie Night Kick-Off TONIGHT!

Tonight we'll be kicking off our 2012 movie nights with the Academy Award winning picture of "The Artist."  We'll likely get started at about 8:45pm tonight.  We'll have some candy, popcorn, and sodas available to make it a fun evening.

So come on down to the Schwarz home to watch this award winning film under the stars on this beautiful summer evening.
